PRE-PRIMARY

About our Pre-Primary Class

3 ½ to 4 ½ years

Our Pre-Primary class is set up in an open style with work areas throughout the room and material available on accessible shelving. Most lessons are given to small groups or individual children, while other children are working independently. This class differs from our Primary class in that our students are at the beginning of their academic journey and yet they still require more support in their personal care. Our Pre-primary students are finishing their potty training and learning the routines of a Montessori classroom in earnest.

The children will always be encouraged and challenged to achieve higher levels of learning but allowed to progress at their own pace.

Our TEFA and Texas Rising Star approved Pre-Primary curriculum introduces the core subjects that include language arts, reading, math, science, and social studies. Each day the children have the opportunity to rest from 12.30 PM to 2.30 PM.

Pre-Primary Care: Theory and Enrichment

In alignment with Maria Montessori's philosophy of child development, Kids Montessori Academy has adopted the fundamental requirements for our Pre-Primary students in our care to receive supported cognitive and physical growth.  We provide proper care, nutrition, and rest in a balanced and prepared environment. Our academy teachers and staff are equipped to aid in the development of your child's individual being during this time in their childhood.
